After the wastewater treatment process has been completed, and according to permitted discharge limits, wastewater is discharged to the Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW). Routine testing for compliance is part of the disposal process.

The solidified sludge, now landfill cover, is transported via truck to the local sanitary landfill.
